State health officials urge residents to avoid vaping products

State health officials are issuing a warning about vaping and urging residents to avoid using vaping products.
The warning comes as the CDC changes its method of monitoring the outbreak of breathing illnesses in people who vape.
The agency says it is only going to count cases that are most likely linked to electronic cigarettes.
Officials say there are 380 confirmed cases of vape-related illnesses in 36 states and one US territory.
Connecticut is investigating 11 illnesses that may be related to electronic cigarettes.
These cases of illnesses include seven patients from Fairfield County, three from New Haven County and one from New London County.
