The House of Hope food drive held a ribbon-cutting Monday in Bridgeport.
Officials cut the ribbon for the House of Hope food drive in front of St. Vincent's Medical Center.
Starting today through Nov. 15, anyone can come drop off nonperishable food items.
This is the ninth year St. Vincent's has partnered with Aquarion Water Company for the effort.
They're hoping to collect more than 7 tons of food.
The food will be donated to several organizations across Bridgeport, including Port 5 Naval Veterans ahead of Thanksgiving.
The past few years, House of Hope has asked for healthy food options.
