State health officials are issuing another warning regarding the dangers of electronic cigarettes as two more people are hospitalized with lung conditions.
The state Department of Public Health says there have been 13 cases of people getting severe lung injuries – three of them in New Haven County and seven in Fairfield County.
It says there have been 530 cases of lung injuries from e-cigarettes or vaping products reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

So far, there have been eight vaping-related deaths across the country.
Hector Gonzalez, who works at U-Vape, agrees that all the health concerns with vaping are related to products that have been tampered with.
"It’s about the black market THC cartridges…what people are calling dab pens,” says Gonzalez. “Cartridges that are cut with vitamin E acetate, coconut oil that are being made in someone's basement."
In Milford, customers must be 21 years old to buy vaping products. By Oct. 1 that will become a state law.
