A body was discovered in the water of Bridgeport Harbor Monday near the power plant, city officials say.
Bridgeport Director of Communications Rowena White says police received calls about a possible body in the water around 11:47 a.m.
The person was pronounced dead upon arrival.
Officers located the body in the water and turned it over to the medical examiner who will determine an exact cause of death, White says.
The person has not been identified but is described as a black male between 30-40-years-old, officials say.
