Wednesday's weather was like deja vu for homeowners along the South Shore who had finally seen the flooding from last week's storm recede.

Today's storm caused water to cover parts of Venetian Boulevard in Lindenhurst. Vehicles were forced to drive down the middle of the road to avoid the high water.

"It's horrible," says David Johanson. "We just had all flooding in Lindenhurst and here we are again with the wind and the rain."

When last week's nor'easter turned a Babylon street into a river last week, Finn Bunger made the most of it by kayaking through the neighborhood.

"It was really fun," says Bunger.

James Smith, of Babylon, tried to get ahead of the storm by moving his boat down the canal. He says the wind causes a lot of problems by the dock.

Smith says this type of flooding is part of South Shore living so if you're afraid of water don't move near the water.
