Greenwich officials are searching for what sparked a fire that left major damage to stores and offices at Indian Field Plaza on East Putnam Avenue.
A police officer driving by around 11 p.m. Monday noticed the smoke and called in the fire. Fire officials say it started on the bottom floor.
Fire crews were able to contain the fire within 30 minutes.
The fire marshal says Pizza Post, a family-run business in Cos Cob since 1972, sustained the most damage, as well as the office building above it.
Fire officials say there were no injuries. The entire building has smoke damage and 25% has fire damage.
