Posted: Updated:

Coast Guard veteran William Goins from Ridgefield will document five retired Navy SEALs who plan to bike a 1,000-mile journey in a span of 10 days to raise money for a neuro rehab clinic for disabled veterans and children in San Diego.

Goin's friends are five retired Navy SEALs. Many of them have undergone numerous surgeries and medical procedures. Regardless, they are all still ready to embark on an incredible journey. Goins will be documenting the event.

The group of men are called Beyond the Teams. It is comprised of former Navy SEALs who joined together to undertake a new kind of mission, raising funds and helping others in need.

The men will ride from Virginia Beach, Virginia, to Fort Pierce, Florida, starting Monday, Oct. 28.
