A Washington Township man is facing murder charges for allegedly killing his retired parents.
73-year-old Frank N. Warner and Joyanne J. Warner were found dead inside their home on Peregrine Drive on Sunday.
Police say that the couple’s son, 50-year-old Todd S. Warner, stole his mother's car and drove to Pennsylvania after the killings. He was arrested at a casino.
"This was an investigation that is a great example of the cooperation of the various law enforcement agencies throughout our region,” says Prosecutor Richard Burke. “It was in a very short time frame that we had to investigate this and bring it to a conclusion and it really shows that such a necessary component of what we do here, particularly in a smaller county."
Todd Warner is being held in Pennsylvania. He's awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
