Halloween celebrations began early in Bridgeport

Posted: Updated:

The Black Rock Branch Library held its annual Parade and Pizza Party Tuesday night for dozens of kids in Bridgeport.

The costume parade kicked off at Ellsworth Park and finished at the library where kids enjoyed the haunted garden, food, dancing, and scary movies.

"It's taken on a life of its own; we tried having no pizza one year and we heard about it so we promised that this year there would be pizza and the kids look forward to this every year," said Michele Jacobson, of the Black Rock Library.

Kids and parents also learned about upcoming programs the library will be offering in 2020.
