Police: 4 people hospitalized in Milford crash

First responders were on the scene of a car crash in Milford Sunday.
It happened in the area of Cherry Street and Gulf Street after 9:30 a.m.
One car went upside down next to Citizens Bank and an SUV crashed into the bushes nearby.
Police say it began when the car somehow lost control, then swerved and struck the SUV.
They say the car rolled over, hitting the bank and flipping onto its roof.
Police say the driver and passenger in the car were both senior citizens. They were seriously hurt and had to be cut out of the vehicle. They were later listed in stable condition.
The passenger and driver of the SUV were taken to a different medical center with injuries not considered to be life-threatening.
Police are investigating the crash.
