Canadian man accused of kidnapping son in 1987 to appear in New Haven court

A Canadian man accused of abducting his toddler son in 1987 is due in New Haven court Monday.

Allan Mann Jr. is serving 18 months in prison in the U.S. for illegally obtaining government benefits.

Canada has requested that the U.S. continue to detain Mann until extradition papers are completed.

Authorities found Mann and his son in Connecticut last year.
