Police: Teen hurt in Bridgeport drive-by shooting

A teenage boy was shot in a drive-by shooting in Bridgeport Sunday, according to police.

It happened near the 200 block of Wood Avenue near the firehouse around 1:30 p.m.

The Bridgeport Fire Department responded to assist the teen initially.

Officials say the 14-year-old was shot in the thigh. News 12 is told the injures are not considered to be life-threatening.

Police say a motive for the shooting is unclear.
