Authorities have identified a man who police say was fatally shot by his roommate in Bridgeport.

Darren Connolly, 53, died Friday after being shot inside his Mill Hill Avenue home.

Officers were called to the home after a man called 911 and told dispatchers he shot his roommate.
Connolly was found dead with a gunshot wound in the chest.

The person believed to have pulled the trigger was immediately taken into custody but still has not been identified and has not been charged.

Police say he is cooperating with investigators.
