Police: Holiday season leaves seniors vulnerable to scams

Posted: Updated:

Police officers say that the holiday season leaves many people susceptible to scams, especially senior citizens.

There are over 12 million reports of identity theft in this country every year and many of them seem to target the older population, according to police.

Police say many towns provide scam alert training for seniors. If anyone feels as if they may have been the victim of a scam, they should contact their local police department.
