More than 1,200 people of all ages came out on Thanksgiving morning to participate in the annual Rowayton Turkey Trot.

Participants could take part in a 5K race or 1-mile fun run and walk.

"It's getting better every year,” says organizer Cameron Letters. “It's great to see everybody out all for a good cause - working up an appetite for the turkey. Can't beat it, man. I'm so happy."

Money raised from the 9th annual Turkey Trot will support the Rowayton Arts Center and sports programs at Brien McMahon high school.
