Police: Woman struck by car in Greenwich suffers serious injuries

A pedestrian struck by a car in Greenwich Friday morning suffered serious injuries.

Police say it happened just before 10 a.m.

They say the driver was going southbound on Sound Beach Avenue and turned into the Arcadia Parking Lot, hitting a woman.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to the hospital.

The accident is under investigation by the Greenwich Police Department's traffic section.

Anyone who might have witnessed the incident is asked to call police.
