Posted: Updated:

The Asbury Park Boardwalk held its 12th annual Christmas tree lighting celebration Saturday night at the Grand Arcade.

Students from three Asbury Park elementary schools were invited to help light the tree. The Asbury All Stars Holiday Band performed after the lighting.

The 35-foot Douglas Fir tree is the tallest live indoor tree in the state, with 40,000 lights. It will stay up through New Year's Day.
