First snow of the season falls early in Hunterdon County

Snow began to fall early in Hunterdon County Monday as the Garden State saw its first significant snowfall of the season.
Sleet turned to snow just after sunrise in towns like Ringoes and quickly accumulated on untreated roads. Over an inch of snow was on the ground by mid-morning.
But some Hunterdon County residents told News 12 New Jersey that they were excited about the early taste of winter.
“It's not too bad, there are not too many cars on the road…It's a little bit exciting. Winter is finally here,” said Slav Sergeenkl, of Flemington.
