Police: 1 dead after car crashes head-on into oncoming car, splits in half

Police in Manchester Township say a man was killed after his car crossed over the center line of Route 70, and crashed head-on into an oncoming car.

Police in Manchester Township say a man was killed after his car crossed over the center line of Route 70, and crashed head-on into an oncoming car.
The crash happened Sunday around 6:06 p.m. in the area of the highway and Green Acres Road.
According to officials, Louis Zuffanti, 59, of Manchester, was declared dead at the scene. His car was split in half.

Officials say the other driver, Joaquim Deoliveira, 51, of Toms River, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
Investigators say speed and weather conditions most likely caused the crash.
