A fire has destroyed a vacant home in Freehold Township, bringing in dozens of crews from the surrounding region.
The fire happened this morning at a home on Joysan Terrace.
News 12 New Jersey is told that the home was vacant after its previous owner passed away last September.
Lindsay Ambrosia lives a few feet away and says the house was under renovations as recently as Tuesday. Ambrosia says her son woke her up after he was the first one to see the flames engulfing the home.
“He was in a panic,” says Ambrosia. “'Mom, there's a fire across the street.' I quickly looked out the window. There was a blazing fire across the street so I just tried to calm the kids down. I have a daughter too. I called 911.”

News 12 is also told that no firefighters were hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
