Tractor-trailer catches fire on New Jersey Turnpike in Edison

A tractor-trailer caught fire early Saturday morning on the New Jersey Turnpike in Edison.
It happened around 4:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes between exits 9 and 10. Officials had to close two lanes of traffic to fight the fire.
When crews arrived, they found the truck completely engulfed. It took several hours to put out the flames.
No one was injured. Officials say the cause appeared to be a mechanical issue.
