A funeral was held Thursday for two Watertown teens killed by their mother's boyfriend inside their home.
Family and friends gathered to say their final goodbyes to Della and Sterling Jette during a funeral service at the Chase Parkway Funeral Home in Waterbury at 10 a.m.
The Watertown teens were shot to death by their mother's boyfriend after an argument over smoking inside their Litchfield Road home on Dec. 3, police say.
The 15 and 16-year-old siblings were student-athletes at Kaynor Technical High School.
"I'm going to miss Sterling being on my defensive line and making sure that I was always protected as a goal keeper," said Jonathan Romano, Sterling's teammate.
Their close friends say they were all like one big family.
Police say 42-year-old Paul Ferguson fatally shot the teens and then himself after Della complained about Ferguson smoking inside the basement.
