Police were sent on a pursuit that spanned multiple towns follow a shooting in Bridgeport that sent one man to the hospital.
Traffic cameras caught a red Toyota Venza speeding north on I-95 following the shooting Tuesday. Milford police sent detectives and patrol vehicles to converge on Claudia Drive, near the Milford-Orange line, where the vehicle could be seen near a home.
Police say the SUV was abandoned, so the search began on foot for the three people police believed to have been inside.
"We brought a K-9 unit out, we actually had a drone unit we could not deploy because the weather was not conducive," says Milford Police Ofc. Michael DeVito.
Though witnesses reported seeing runners in the woods, after 90 minutes, the crew and their guns were nowhere to be found, police say.
Police say around 20 officers were investigating and using K-9s for tracking the suspects.
Officers say the suspects are considered armed and dangerous.
