A homeowner was hospitalized and a firefighter was injured in a two-alarm fire in Orange Wednesday.

1 hospitalized, firefighter injured in 2-alarm house fire in Orange
A homeowner was hospitalized and a firefighter was injured in a two-alarm fire in Orange Wednesday.
The fire happened at a 612 Chestnut Ridge Road around 3:40 a.m.
Fire officials say a firefighter was injured when they slipped on the ice outside, and a homeowner suffered smoke inhalation.
 
The homeowner was able to get out of the home, but officials say they were transported to the hospital.
West Haven Fire and Woodbridge fire departments assisted in extinguishing the fire.
Firefighters say there are wires down in the area but they do not yet know if that was the cause of the fire.
The fire was put out around 6 a.m. and the house is a complete loss, officials say.
