Last-minute shoppers at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk Monday flooded the store with Christmas Eve dinner shopping lists.

Shoppers stormed the store's meat department, and Stew's employees expected to sell 115,000 pounds of filet mignon this week.

Lots of people like to come to Stew Leonard's to prepare their Christmas roasts, and employees say customers also pick up fresh fish, pies, cookies, and chocolates.

Stew Leonard’s estimates that thousands of people would come through the doors Monday to buy Christmas Eve dinner.
