Police: 2 men charged in connection to fire that destroyed car in Monroe

Police in Monroe say two men have been charged in connection to a fire that destroyed a car belonging to one of their girlfriends.
They say Matthew Bittner and Joseph Bogdanyi picked up an SUV in Bridgeport from police that was reportedly stolen and belonged to Bittner's girlfriend.
Police say it had been found in the city after being reported stolen a day earlier. They say instead of returning the car to the women, the two men drove it to Corporate Drive in Monroe and set it on fire.
Police say when they originally asked Bittner about it, he claimed that the SUV had been stolen for a second time.
