The University of Connecticut has issued a health alert as three students are being treated for the mumps.
The infected students were taking classes at the main campus in Storrs.
The school says there's no increased risk for students at satellite campuses, including Stamford.
All students are required to show proof of two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in order to attend classes.
Mumps is a viral infection which is spread through germs, like from sneezing or coughing.
