A Bridgeport school board member who police say was arrested Friday in Seymour spoke with News 12 Connecticut about the case.
Authorities say Chris Taylor, a first-term board member, is facing several charges including kidnapping and impersonating a police officer.
"This was an isolated incident involving a family member with a substance abuse issue," Taylor said. "When the full facts of the case come to light, everybody will see the incident in its proper perspective and have a clear understanding of exactly what happened. Meantime, my family and I are putting our faith in God and holding our heads high."
Police say Taylor is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow. He's free on a $100,000 bond.
