Police: Bridgeport student posted threats against schools on Instagram

Posted: Updated:

Bridgeport police say a local student is facing charges after posting a threatening message online.

Police say a student alerted a school principal after seeing a post on Instagram Thursday morning.

The post mentioned a specific time and specific schools for a would-be attack.

City officials say police were assigned to all city schools after the threat was discovered.

Police eventually traced the message back to a boy, who told officers the post was only meant to get him out of school.
