Milford home sustains ‘enormous’ smoke damage in fire

A home in Milford that was undergoing renovations went up in flames Saturday night. 

The incident occurred on Pond Point Avenue around 6:30 p.m.

It was quickly knocked down by Milford firefighters.

The home was unoccupied at the time, but contractors had been at the site earlier in the day.

Officials said the home sustained “enormous” damage from the smoke that filled the home.

It was not immediately known what sparked the fire.
