Gaetano's Deli has been named Food Network's best deli in Connecticut.

The Food Network released a list of the best delis in all 50 states.

Gaetano's Deli, which has locations in Westport, Monroe, and Stratford, was named the best in the state.

 

According to Gaetano's website, owners Guy Catalano and Milanno Ukehaxhaj started working together almost 25 years ago at the Bronx’s famous Arthur Avenue in Little Italy.

They learned the old fashioned deli business from some of the best, then they brought their experience to Stratford over 20 years ago.

Gaetano's specializes in gigantic Italian-style sandwiches piled high with an assortment of meats and cheeses atop freshly baked bread.
