Pick-up truck drives into Newtown house, heavily damages first floor

A pick-up truck drove into a house early Saturday in Newtown.

The incident happened on Church Hill Road just after midnight.

Police say the driver lost control and struck the home, heavily damaging the first floor.

Officials say no one in the home or the vehicle was injured.

The 20-year-old driver was arrested and is facing several charges, including DWI.
