Norwalk residents donate coats to veterans at Ocean State Job Lot

The American Legion Post 12 held a winter coat giveaway for veterans this weekend in Norwalk.

Residents donated coats at Ocean State Job Lot.

"We can't do enough for our veterans," says commander of American Legion Post 12, Richard Olson. "There's group that help with education, there's groups that help with housing and whatever they need. The American Legion -- we try to do whatever we can to help our veterans."

The American Legions hopes to give out 500 coats.
