Stamford school children made Valentine's Day cards for veterans as part of a program organized by Rep. Jim Himes.
Himes visited Villa Maria School Monday, where he was joined by Army veterans who shared with the students what it's like to serve in the military.
The students presented Himes with a box full of valentines that will be distributed to veterans across the state.
Himes says it's a great way to show support for those who served our country.
Himes' office has been running this Valentines for Veterans Program for 11 years.
