A man was arrested in connection to a fatal drug overdose and for being in possession of fentanyl, police say.
Fairfield police say David Armstrong, 21, was arrested Friday and charged with possession of a controlled substance, criminal attempt of sale of a narcotic substance and sale of a controlled substance.
Police say Armstrong is responsible for selling drugs that lead to a fatal overdose of a person on Jan. 22 on Roselle Street in Fairfiled.
They say they collected evidence at the scene that helped them identify Armstrong as the person who sold the drugs to the victim.

When officers arrested Armstrong, police say they found he was in possession of several wax folds of a white powdery substance that tested positive for fentanyl, a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and several hundred dollars.
Police say Armstrong does have permits for the guns but that they took them away from him at the time of the arrest.
Armstrong is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Feb 21.
He was held on $20,000 bond.
