Freezing temperatures to chill Valentine's Day weekend
Freezing temperatures are on the way for Valentine’s Day weekend, News 12 meteorologists say.
Temperatures are expected to become much colder today through Saturday.
It will be mostly cloudy today with a low around 29 degrees.
Wind chill values between will make the actual temperature feel more like 20 and 25 degrees.
Governor Lamont's office issued a cold weather protocol for Connecticut amid freezing temperatures expected to hit the region.
The protocol will go into effect at 12 p.m. and last through Saturday at 12 p.m.  
Hold your loved ones close, because tonight will have a low around 11 degrees.
News 12 meteorologists say wind chill values will make actual temperatures feel between 5 and 10 degrees.
Saturday will be sunny with a high near 30 degrees.
Sunday is expected to be warmer at around 42 degrees.
