Bunnell High School teacher writes songs inspired by visit with Syrian refugees

A Bunnell High School Latin teacher has returned from his latest mission to help refugees from the Syrian civil war.
Dylan Connor is a singer-songwriter and says he was inspired by the hope and pain of the Syrian civil war.
"I immediately started to write songs to make people aware of what was happening," says Connor.
Connor's latest anthem is for Idlib, a region on Syria's border with Turkey that's currently crammed with nearly a million refugees.
He says he just returned from his fourth mission to the region, providing humanitarian aid and the gifts of hope and solidarity.
Most of Connor's stories are of remarkable people, like Mesa, a 16-year-old girl left paralyzed by the conflict.
"She was leaving school and a sniper from the Assad regime aimed at her and shot her in the spine," said Connor.
Connor says it is his duty to be their voice in the United States.
Connor is also the chair of missions for the Syrian American Council.
