Police body cam video shows officers saving woman from burning car

Video has been released of police officers saving a woman from a burning car.

Bridgeport police officer Kathleen Ramirez arrived on the scene on Chopsey Hill Road Tuesday to a car on its side and on fire. She tried to reach the driver, but couldn't.

More officers arrived, working together to get the car back on its wheels.

The rescue effort was recorded by Sgt. Joaquim Debarro's body camera.

After a few moments, the officers were able to get a hold of the woman and pull her from the car.

She was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
