Health Matters: Nearly half of American population overweight, CDC says

The Center for Disease Control says nearly half of American adults are overweight.
They say about four in 10 American adults are obese and nearly one in 10 are severely obese.
Those figures come from a 2017-2018 survey of 5,000 adults that measured height and weight.
Health experts say the obesity problem puts more Americans at risk for diabetes, heart disease, and cancer.
