From international travel to attending sports events, the coronavirus is impacting the everyday lives of residents across the country.
President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that most flights from Europe into the United States will be banned. He said an anti-viral therapy will also be available in record time.
Trump says the goal is to significantly reduce the impact and reach of the virus.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo warned residents to prepare for the closure of various public spaces as more coronavirus cases are confirmed across the nation.
"You're going to see closing down of venues, schools, large gatherings because you don't have an option,” he said. “You're never going to bring the testing up to capacity in time.”
The NBA also announced that it is suspending its season after at least one player tested positive for coronavirus. Fans attending the Oklahoma City Thunder-Utah Jazz game Wednesday were sent home shortly before tip-off.

Health officials say these steps are necessary to help prevent the coronavirus from spreading even faster.

"We're 100,000 ICU beds short, we're probably tens of thousands of breathing machines, ventilators short.  What are we going to do? These are real problems, and this is hours and days count, not days and weeks,” says CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta.
