Stamford, Darien, Norwalk order body care facilities to close

Stamford, Darien, and Norwalk announced Thursday that all body care facilities must close by 8 p.m. until further notice because of the public health crisis caused by the coronavirus.

That includes nail salons, massage parlors and barbershops. Officials say employees can’t provide their services without close contact with their customers.

 Less than a week ago, the state ordered bars to close and restaurants to offer takeout only after 8 p.m.
