Many Bridgeport residents suffering the economic impact of the coronavirus are bracing for when their food stamp benefits get cut next month.
Jenna Migliore says her 60-year-old father, who is disabled, suffers from heart and kidney disease and can barely walk. She says his federal SNAP benefits will be eliminated effective April 1.
She says she can't believe the same government that's scrambling to help millions of Americans would let a dialysis patient go without food.
Migliore says her father spent his life helping others and she can't afford to support him and go to school at the same time.
