Officials: Officer in Westport Police Department tests positive for coronavirus

Officials say an officer in the 63-member Westport Police Department has tested for coronavirus.

They say 13 members were tested in total, and that initially three officers were tested.

Officials say the three initially tested were either exhibiting symptoms consistent with the virus or had direct contact with an infected person.

They say the testing from the initial group showed that one officer was infected with the virus.
