Stamford-based cleaning company disinfects local police cruisers

Local police departments and other essential services are turning to professional cleaners to keep officers safe and healthy amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Sentinel Maintenance is a Stamford-based industrial cleaning company that provides daily disinfection for police cruisers so officers can stay protected while they're working to keep people safe.
"Office buildings, residential, commercial, and now we're privileged to work with the Stamford Police Department," says Sentinel partner Chris Greco. "Their job is hard enough as it is. You throw a pandemic in the mix, and it makes it nearly impossible for them to do their jobs.”
Greco also says it's a constant learning curve to keep up with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's guidelines.
"Every day, a new piece of information comes out about the virus, so the training is extensive," he says. "We have the right chemicals and we need to make sure we're using the right techniques to apply them."
Greco assures there is an emphasis on keeping the company's cleaning crews safe as well.
"The health and safety of our cleaners, who are on the front line daily as well, is just as important as combating this virus," he says.
Greco says Sentinel will continue to work on the front lines until the fight against coronavirus is done.
"Hopefully this is all over soon, and we're here to speed up the process and flatten the curve and get everybody back to normal living," he says.
Sentinel Maintenance is also providing daily cleaning and disinfection at LaGuardia Airport.
