Gov. Ned Lamont announced Wednesday that health insurers in the state will be waiving all costs for COVID-19 testing and treatment for those with insurance.

He says there are 14,755 confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, with 766 new cases since Tuesday. There has also been 197 new deaths related to the virus, bringing the total to 868.

Lamont says 170 of the new deaths were unreported over the past two weeks.

He also urged everyone to wear masks out in public, especially when they go to stores. Lamont says he's planning to issue an executive order about wearing masks within the next two days.

He called the process of finding a vaccine for coronavirus "our Apollo project," saying everything we are doing is a bridge until we get to that point.

- He says he plans to make wearing masks out in public an executive order in 48 hours.

- Lamont says that 12,000 small business loans have been processed.

- Mass Mutual will provide health care workers up to $25,000 in life insurance for the next 3 years.

- Health insurers will waive all out-of-pocket costs for COVID-19 testing and treatment for those with insurance.

- The state will start processing extra $600 a week federal stimulus payments to unemployment checks on 4/24.

- The Connecticut Department of Labor commissioner says it plans to run 60,000 unemployment claims Wednesday night through a new system "which will enable us to bypass the manual processing of those claims."
