Sweet P Bakery in Norwalk is a nonprofit dedicated to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. The company provides job training and employment skills.

Because of the coronavirus, the programs have closed, which has left a void for its customers.

"A place for adults with developmental disabilities to go to have pride in their work, to have a sense of purpose, and we always said it's what every parent wants for their child, and it should be no different based on ability," said Andrea Pecoriello, cofounder of Sweet P Bakery.

Sweet P Bakery is not sure when it will be able to fully reopen.

The company says with every donation it receives, it is donating to several hospitals and food pantries.
