Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim says the town's public parks will open one day early to help residents cope with stress caused by the pandemic.
The mayor says there is nothing better for stress than a walk in the park.
"Park season is opening. We are going to open the parks a day early, that will be this Thursday, May 21, you can pick them up at Central High School, drive through with your identification, get your park permits, so you can participate with social distancing and safety in Bridgeport Parks once again," says Ganim.
City of Bridgeport golf courses opened last week.
