Norwalk man to walk 26 miles to raise money for children affected by COVID-19

A Norwalk man will walk from the city's Cranbury section to Calf Pasture Beach and back twice Saturday - all to help children impacted by COVID-19.
Joe Hoffman is fast-walking the 26.2 mile marathon to raise $50,000 to the Paperseed Foundation. That money will be given directly to organizations in need of funds to feed and educate children affected by the coronavirus crisis.
The 53-year-old says he hopes the walk will take him about six hours, rain or shine.
Hoffman says he's been gearing up for this ever since he's been home due to the virus. So far, he has raised more than $30,000.
