Bowling alleys reopened Wednesday, and bowlers told News 12 they didn't mind the masks and social distancing - they're just happy to be back in action.

Some people came to Nutmeg Bowl in Fairfield from the Bronx, Harlem and Westchester. One person said they had been going to Delaware to bowl.

Capacity is limited to 50%, and reservations are required. Shoes and balls are available.

"Once they come in, they are going to get into their lanes and we want them to stay there unless they have to go to the restroom," said Laurie Vaitkus. "If they want food or beverage, we pick up a house phone and a server comes to them."

Movie theaters also reopened Wednesday.
