Trumbull says its new 114,000-square-foot Amazon distribution center will open up later this summer.
Workers were seen Tuesday at the Route 25 distribution center making preparations for the opening in the coming months.
Amazon purchased the building in January for $7.5 million and says it will put $11 million in to getting it ready.
The Town of Trumbull says the center will bring about 150 jobs to the area.
"They'll also be some entrepreneurial-type opportunities for folks that want delivery routes and want to get involved in that aspect of the business," says Rina Bakalar, of Trumbull Economic and Community Development. "So we're hoping to get more information out to the community in the coming months."
The facility will join several others that are popping up across Connecticut. A new one is going up in Danbury, and there are already centers in Stratford and North Haven.
